This policy describes how the ASM Recruit Assist Chrome extension and web app (“the Service”) handle information. The Service is for recruiters who already have access to job boards and ATS tools. It copies candidate information the recruiter can already see on those sites into that recruiter’s organization account on ASM Recruit Assist.

What we collect
When a signed-in recruiter uses the extension on a supported job board or ATS, the Service may collect:
- Recruiter account data: email, name, organization, session token (authkey)
- Candidate profile data visible on the page: name, email, phone, job title, source URL
- Resume files the recruiter can already download (PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, TXT) and related HTML/text
- Technical logs needed to run the Service (timestamps, source site, file type)
We do not collect your Google account. We do not sell advertising profiles. We do not scrape sites you are not visiting in your browser.
How we use it (Limited Use)
Candidate and recruiter data is used only to provide the recruiting database you asked for: save, search, duplicate-check, and download resumes inside your organization. We do not sell personal information. We do not use candidate data for ads, credit, or unrelated AI training. We do not transfer it to other companies except as needed to host the Service or if required by law.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on ASM Recruit Assist servers used by your organization (currently the application hosted at asmrecruit.com). Each organization only sees its own candidates and users. Organization admins can add users and manage that organization’s records.
Chrome permissions
The extension asks for access only to the job-board and ATS sites it supports, plus asmrecruit.com, so it can read the page you are viewing, download a resume you are allowed to open, and send it to your account. Extra sites (for example LinkedIn) are requested only when you use those features. Storage holds your login session. Tabs and webNavigation detect when you open a supported recruiter page so the overlay can appear.
Retention and deletion
We keep candidate records until someone in your organization deletes them, or until the organization account is removed. You can delete candidates from the dashboard. To delete an organization or account, email support@asmrecruit.com.
Your choices
You can sign out, uninstall the extension, or stop using a job board. Uninstalling the extension does not automatically erase server-side candidate records; delete those in the dashboard or by contacting support.
Children
The Service is for professional recruiting use and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
